If you’re following me on instagram you have certainly seen that I have teamed up with Bare Necessities to release a lingerie, loungewear and swimwear collection. I was flattered that Bare came to me – I’ve always wanted to do a lingerie line.
I’ve always carried a lot of fully formed thoughts about what would make a lingerie line that is both aspirational and wearable. Lingerie is often very beautiful but pokes and pricks you in odd places and makes you squirm while you’re trying to look sexy. Or there’s the other extreme (especially for us women with larger breasts), where all of the bra and panty options look orthopedic and matronly. My hope is that when you wear something from my line it feels functional, comfortable, AND sexy!
I love all of the pieces but I have been gravitating toward the snakeskin bustier, because it is so versatile. It can be a great look for the bedroom, or you can throw on some leather pants and a blazer and head out for the night. Another favorite is the long sleeve knit dress – I’m constantly wearing this in the kitchen but it is also cozy enough to wear as you curl up with a book at the end of the day. It is super soft, and I have even fallen asleep in it!
I’m so excited to share this collection with you. Since departing Top Chef and starting a new chapter of my life, I’ve been lucky to collaborate on projects I’ve always wanted to do like this one. So I’m thrilled to have a final product out there in the world!
